I hold an undergraduate degree from Princeton University and an MS in counseling from Cairn University in Langhorne, PA.  In 2021, I received a certificate in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy from the International Psychotherapy Institute in Bethesda. I have also taken additional graduate coursework in counseling at Loyola University of Maryland and the Philadelphia School of Psychoanalysis. Currently, as a member of WPATH, I am working on the WPATH GEI certification for providers who work with the transgender community. I am a member of the American Counseling Association and its LGBTQ division known as SAIGE. I am also a member of the Maryland Counseling Association and the Licensed Clinical Professional Counselors of Maryland. I am a past president of SAIGE-MD, currently I serve as a Member-At-Large on the SAIGE-MD board. My license is through the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists, License #LC4857 and I am approved to supervise graduate level counselors.

For 13 years, I worked with clients through a private practice in Princeton, NJ. I have also served as a therapist in a public elementary school in the inner city of Trenton, NJ and as a psychiatric crisis clinician at Holy Cross Germantown Hospital. Most recently, I worked as a therapist for People Encouraging People in Rockville, MD, seeing clients who are severely and persistently mentally ill.

I have done workshops and presentations for several non-profit groups in Maryland and New Jersey, including a “Transgender 101” workshop at Asbury Methodist Village in Gaithersburg, MD and at Open Door Metropolitan Community Church in Boyds, MD. I have offered numerous workshops on LGBTQ issues at the Maryland Counseling Association's annual conference and at SAIGE-MD's annual symposium. Topics I have spoken on include working clinically with transgender clients, non-binary identities, and letter writing for gender affirmation treatment.
